Join us for a guided outdoor walking tour of the museum's train collection! This will be a great opportunity to learn more about historical rail travel, and there will be many opportunities for photos with the various cars and engines.

Due to the early start time, this is a costume-optional event. However, you are welcome to come in costume! Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Victorian, Edwardian, and Vintage would all be excellent against the backdrop of these trains! Please note that this tour is entirely outdoors on uneven terrain with no cover from the sun. Make sure to bring your hats and parasols to protect you from the elements.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-12.

We will follow the tour with lunch at Babe's Chicken Dinner House located at 6475 Page St, Frisco, TX 75034

We're hosting a weekend getaway with fellow costumers! We hope you'll join us October 7th - 10th at the Creative Cottage in McKinney for some long-awaited socializing, relaxing, and learning.

There is a limited amount of space at this retreat, so make sure to purchase your ticket early to ensure your spot! DFWCG members can get a discounted rate here. Not a member? Join here!

Room and board are included in the price of your ticket. Please note: some beds are upstairs, and bedrooms will need to be shared (multiple beds to a room.) Meals will be professionally catered, and the tentative schedule is as follows:

Friday - dinner at 6:45pm

Saturday - breakfast of sweet breads and fruit available for early risers

Saturday - brunch at 11:00am (for those not attending the off-site Railroad Outing)

Saturday - dinner at 6:00pm

Sunday - brunch at 10:00am

There will be a coffee maker, an ice maker, a refrigerator, and a microwave available as well if you prefer to bring your own food and drinks.

The hands-on portion of our event will take place in a large activity space that includes your own personal 5' table, ample electrical outlets, extra counter space, and an iron.

There is also a cozy living room with a TV.
